As I look at these pictures I still can't believe a world without Madeline. She's darling and so sweet. Last year, about this time, she almost died. She got very sick and spent more than 40 days in the Intensive Care Unit. At one point they told her mom they weren't sure she was going to make it. I get the chills retelling this story now. I didn't even know all of this until after our shoot. She looks so normal, healthy and so very happy. And what her family, her brother went through. He lost precious time with his Mom and Dad..his sister. Life is so fragile. Be thankful. Be very thankful every day..even when you don't want to be.
