Elyse and Andrew's Wedding...

Elyse is so cool. And just beautiful. I could have photographed her all day. What about Andrew, you ask? PERFECT for each other! We had a deliciously windy day and her veil was just the right length to soak up the breeze. It was so pretty. We started in Snellville at the Snellville United Methodist Church and finished our evening up at the Smoke Rise Country Club. Here's a sneak peek! Check out the facebook page for their 'movie'.

Blake is six!

My baby is six years old. Today, he went for his well check-up and had some interesting things to say. I shall share them with you. Dr. Vigil, who is a quiet man and a perfect fit for Blake who is not a quiet man, asked Blake a few questions. He asked him what sports he liked, if he could read, if he could count by 5's and 10's and how high he could count...I'll stop there. Blake, matter-of-factly announces he can count as high as 20 hundred. That's a number didn't you know? 20-hundred. That's pretty high. Blake proceeds to tell the doctor he gets headaches sometimes. Dr. Vigil seems concerned and asks, "How long have you been having these headaches Blake?" Blake, in all seriousness answers, "About 10 years." I look at Dr. Vigil who looks at me and then we both look at Blake who is still 'eyeing' Dr. Vigil for a cure to his headaches. So Dr. Vigil asks Blake a few more questions and ensures him he'll be fine. Since there are no shots this time Blake, who is a fairly good runner, speeds out of the office and patiently waits at the 'check-out' desk. We head to the store to get a new Beyblade and the day is complete! Happy (Belated-blogging) Birthday Blakey. I love you so very much.

Elyse and Andrew...

oh my gosh..so much fun! They are so super cute together and I love their creativity. And here's a little story for you..I'm driving, on my way to their Engagement session and as a photographer, well, you always have your eyes open to new spots around town to shoot. I see this fantasticly (is that a word?) graffitied (is that another word??) train -well - freight cars and I always love the art of it but most of it I can't really work with it. AND THEN, I see it - and I see the vision of it and I pile them (Elyse and Andrew) in my car and we drive over to the freight cars and shoot it. I knew I would love it but I REALLY love it! So here's to fantastically, graffitied freight cars and Elyse and Andrew! See you guys in April!

Brandon, Bobby & Macy...

What a GREAT family! Although, I think, Bobby is thinking the quicker we get this over with the better..he never complains (at least not to me anyway!) Macy is so much fun to work with and has such a sweet, darling look about her. Now Brandon...I adore him. He really put up with me this time! Thanks Brandon! And thanks Darcy (oh, and Eric!:) for letting me 'borrow' your house for all my photo shoots! Love ya! Here's a sneak peek:

Elise, Robert & Elizabeth...

Love The 'C' Family! What a great bunch! I had so much fun photographing them and aren't they all just gorgeous?! Here's a sneak peek:

Madeline & Andrew...

As I look at these pictures I still can't believe a world without Madeline. She's darling and so sweet. Last year, about this time, she almost died. She got very sick and spent more than 40 days in the Intensive Care Unit. At one point they told her mom they weren't sure she was going to make it. I get the chills retelling this story now. I didn't even know all of this until after our shoot. She looks so normal, healthy and so very happy. And what her family, her brother went through. He lost precious time with his Mom and Dad..his sister. Life is so fragile. Be thankful. Be very thankful every day..even when you don't want to be. Here's a sneak peek for Madeling and her brother...and especially her Mom and Dad. Happy Thanksgiving - you all deserve a very Happy one!

Madison @ fifteen...

You remember 15 right? I do! What fun! And Madison was so precious and a blast to shoot with! We did studio indoor and out and I had her wear some of my fun hats!I love hats! Who doesn't love hats? And Madison wore them all with style! Here's a sneak peek:

Parker & Myles..

My sweet, sweet Myles...He carried around my prop bag for me during our whole shoot! He ASKED if he could carry it for me. Well, sure! Maybe I could pay him to be my assistant?! What a fantabulous family! I loved them..every minute. I mentioned a pose and they made it look natural. I really got to see them 'be' themselves. They were perfect. Here's a sneak peek:

Will & Olivia..

Oh sweet, sweet Will. I've loved Will since the day I met him. :) I photographed his little sister when she was brand new. And NOW..she's two. And oh, so Sassy! She shows up in her little red corduroy dress with soft little ringlets in her hair. Big pouty lips and mary janes kickin'. Needless to say, she stayed clean for about 2.4 seconds. :) Here's a sneak peek!

Bobby & Family...

Bobby had his own thoughts of how our photo shoot should go. He had plenty of great ideas and I enjoyed every minute with him! It was a blast and I had so much fun. I heard about football and baseball and mostly football and his big tackle! So cute! Here's a sneak peek:

Matthew & Grace...

Dear, sweet Grace. She shows up in this adorable purple outfit complete with beret and matching scarf. She starts talking about her Grandpa and how she loves pictures and about 26 other short stories all in a matter of 5 minutes. Add one brother to the mix. They were so sweet together and he really has the patience of a Saint. Saint Matthew..I'm sure there is one of those. :) HEre is a sneak peek:

Ansley & Austin...

Such a perfect little family! They brought along their dog 'Jo-Jo' who had to be at least 852 years old. I've photographed Ansley before but this was a first with Austin. He was so sweet and couldn't wait to put on his gym shoes to show me how fast he was. He was adorable! Here's a sneak peek:

"I love Charley..."

The other day Blake came home from school, set his book bag down and casually informed me that he loved Charley. Charley is a sweet little girl who was also in Blake's Preschool class. I said, "Oh, really?" He continued, "Yes, I'm going to write her a letter." Well, the first thing that came to my mind was GREAT - he can work on his handwriting skills! So I asked him what his letter would say. He told me, "Dear Charley, I love you. I hope that I can see you at a store. Love, Blake." Well, he's not very romantic but that's OK - he's 5! I even found a picture of the two of them this year. Isn't she darling? :)

Madison & Bryce...

Can I just tell you how impressed I was with Bryce?! He's 11 now and he asked such GREAT questions! For instance..many questions about my photography, lighting, and my favorite...did I eat lunch? When I do mini-sessions I go every hour for 6-8 hours so there isn't time for lunch. But why in the world would an 11-year-old care??? Maybe because he's going to be a doctor, cure cancer, find world peace, be the President for all I know! It wouldn't surprise me. I seriously..almost..packed him up in my camera bag. Why not? They were the last session of the day - he wouldn't be in there long. :) Anyway, GREAT family and so much fun! They were up for anything and I hope I see them again..if I do I'll make sure I pack my lunch. :) Here's a sneak peek:

Greg on the run?!

Well, not really running..and believe me..I've tried to get him to run with me. But he's just happy to take the shirts that come 'free' with MY race. He's no runner. I love him so very much but he will NEVER be a runner..although I tell him he's built like a Kenyan. :) So he's in Israel for 'work' and I guess they did some team-building 10-mile trek through the Israeli mountains! Yeah, well, I got him some cool shoes, a new backpack and some hiking pants. At least he looked good! Oh, and I noticed he wore my ING Georgia marathon race shirt. :) He LOVED it! No blisters, felt great and enjoyed every minute! I'm so proud of him and happy he has the confidence to maybe..maybe someday...do a half-marathon??? We could walk it together. :) Here are some cool pictures from his trek!

All I could think with this picture was how much I would LOVE to shoot a bride in some really hot couture-ish-style wedding gown perched on one of these plateaus. Ohhh, what a wish!

An email from Bridgette...

"Nicole, words can not explain how much I LOVE my pictures, video and mini books!!!!!!! You did such an amazing job once again!!!! Thanks again Bridgette"

Bridgette is a Cincinnati/NKY client. When I received this email the only thing that came to my mind is that I'm so thankful for HER. Thankful she trusts me to do my 'thing' and gives me creative freedom to photograph her little boy, her only child. She brings to the table ideas and suggestions that are specific to Rudi. She knows him better than anyone. I see him once maybe twice a year. She brought his skateboard..she brought his bookbag one year..she even brought his pet turtle. Little things that are sweet. In 20 years, she won't have that same skateboard or bookbag and I know for sure not the turtle, but she'll have that picture, even if it's tucked away in an album. I love my job and I love my clients. Thanks Bridgette for such a nice email. It made my night.

Isabella & Eli...

You would have thought I've known these two for years! NOT shy at all! They laughed and giggled and it's so interesting how some sets of twins work. These two...really played off each other. It was almost as if since they had each other close by..they were fine with being themselves around me. I smile thinking about them now. What a hoot! Here's a sneak peek:

Jacob & Brady...

Jacob is such a great big brother. He has that quiet sweetness about him. And then there's Brady. Well, Brady's 1-year-old. And that means..if you are FAST enough to catch his smile, then you've got yourself a picture! :) I loved photographing them both. Although, I must admit, Jacob was much better at following directions. :) Here's a sneak peek:

Max & Grace

Max and Grace are just adorable! Such great personalities and you just want to squeeze the sweetness right out of them! And I love Joanna, their mom, she's like Martha Stewart but much nicer and not as bossy. She puts my creativity to shame. Here's a sneak peek:

Kayla & Tyler...

How super cute are these two?! We had a leaf fight at the end and it was so much fun. Really brought out their personalities! It's not easy to bring out a genuine smile of a 12-year-old boy? You know, because it's not cool to have your picture taken with your sister. :) Here's a sneak peek!
