My running buddy Bonnie brought over her precious! daughter for some 2 year pics! We threw in a couple Christmas but we stuck with Leah and her fabulous 2 year-0ld-self! She has big, beautiful brown eyes and was just a joy to photograph. Here's a few:
So I get this email from Son..the subject line is..'Yes, I'm single.' The guy uses his cell phone to take a picture of his grocery cart...he's out grocery shopping...single guys do that from time to time. Apparently, the grocery was having a sale on Totino's Pizza's...11 pizza's for 10 bucks...really? That's a great deal if you like to eat cardboard. So Son buys 22 pizza's. Yes, 22. He states he would have bought more if his freezer was bigger.
I took Mya's 3 month pictures a while back and I did a storyboard for their family. Turned out so cute! We really wanted to get creative for their big entry-way wall - artwork seemed so overdone...decorations...ehhhh... - so they went with the storyboard! these are all 16x20's... photo credit goes out to Steve!
My wedding season is officially over! I take off November and December from weddings to jump into family holiday pictures. I thought I'd put together some of my 'steamy' moments of 2007. They are still tasteful..a little naughty..but always so nice!
Just perfect. Allison has great features! She's just so easy to photograph..and when Brendan gives me a genuine smile..it's magic. He also had the COOLEST tattoo...Allison hand-wrote 'I love you' on a piece of paper and Brendan had it tattooed on his body. It was simple..and so sweet! Here's a few from their engagement:
Okay..well..the new red/green for Christmas! I tested it out on Lola and it turned out great!! Her outfit was bright and really set off the background...can't wait to use it again!
With names like Andy & Mindi you KNOW they are going to be a cute couple! Andy..crinkles his nose when he laughs --- I mean c'mon...how CUTE is that??? Really. And Mindi..she can climb TREES in HEELS! She rocks. It's going to be a fun wedding next year. She was a camper..camped out for the good ol' Drees Pavilion. 4am and she was 3rd in line and get this...her first TWO dates were taken by the first two people in line...but her 3rd date was hers! Thanks guys for such a great session!
At least in the photography world it's Christmas for me! Lola stopped by for her Christmas pics! Every year she looks so different..but she still has those precious cheeks and those chocolate brown eyes that I just love to photograph.
CUTE! I should have come up with us..I'd be a rich woman by now! This..is a camera bag - holds 2 lenses, 2 flashes, 2 bodies....really??? Where??? And then my lipgloss in that cute, little pouch hanging out there! This beats my Grandpa's old black Lowepro camera bag anytime!! And they have bags for 'normal' people too - you know, if you only have one camera. Check them out: Jill E. Designs
First off, I didn't shoot this wedding. I could fool you and tell you I did...you would never have been able to tell the difference. Son & Lauren shot Stephanie and Jeff and captured every single, I'm not kidding, moment of them. As I was going through the images I felt like I was there - with every cute, little laugh..to every tear. Stephanie and her father have something wonderful - she is 'Daddy's Little Girl' - no doubt. It was touching to 'see' them together. And Jeff..what a great guy - you could tell he and Stephanie were made for each other. Click here to view their webshow:
Well, I'm just getting around to posting a few weddings from awhile back and I have to add Sarah and Rocky to that list. What a great bunch! They were so much fun to be around and Sarah was just leggy and fabulous. Her church wasn't air-conditioned and this was one HOT day! But nothing seemed to spoil the mood - it was beautiful and meaningful. Click here to view their webshow.
And speaking of the Groom. I noticed the webshow wasn't up for Becky and Jimmy. Well, that's just a grave mistake because I'll tell you - Becky's hair was gorgeous! You have got to see how she did her hair! LOVED it! And props to Lauren for such great reception pics! Click HERE for their webshow:
Why yes..that's the photographer showing the bridal party how she wants the shot. And who was holding the expensive little camera you ask? Well, the GROOM of course...duh. Isn't that how every wedding goes? I do have to give him some credit (he knew how to use it) and he did a pretty good job. Aren't the boys cute though? They really look like they are trying to learn how to do it right..oh no wait! They are just looking at me like I'm crazy. It's true..I'am a few french fries short of a Happy Meal. But, I love my job. And just so you know..I could have jumped MUCH higher if I would have lost the camera bag.
Jill shows up in this flirty little wedding dress with this phenomonal itty-bitty sweater and her fabulously chic eyeglasses. Brick walls...for some reason..I love them. I look for them everywhere I go. Brick walls are constant...kind of boring, same pattern over and over - ordinary...but when you put the perfect subject against them..they compliment each other - contrast each other - and the subject shines...what a blast I had with them. And props to Lauren with some STUNNING reception pics! Click HERE to view their webshow.
I love this sequence of shots...Meredith (on the left) just turned three. Isabelle (on the right) turns three in December. The little guy in the middle turns three in March. It's so cute to see all 3 of them together...chillin' out with some popsicles...
So I bought Bea this 'digging for treasure' thing. You get a hammer and you have to find the hidden treasures in the sand. It comes with safety glasses. I didn't know safety glasses could be so cute! Here's a few:
Station 1 had their open house and I have to admit..it was so cool. We got to climb on the fire trucks, try on REAL fire hats, and see helicopters land...close-up - almost blew the tan right off you, we were that close. But the best story I found is the guy who had to stand BEHIND the fake house and attempt to stay dry when the kids squirted the fake fire in the windows. Mind you, it was a hot day so I don't think he was that upset..but it was pretty darn funny so he was the highlight of my pictures. I wonder if they had to pick straws for that job. The key..is to finding the story within the story - he was my story that day. Here's a few:
The place scares me...ever been there? It gives me the shivers just thinking about it. It's BIG, it's LOUD and the kids get all sweaty and blotchy and nasty. Of course they love every minute of it. Bea attended Joe's birthday party there - he's a classmate from school. It was chaos...really. I felt like I needed a nap after leaving there and I didn't even get to JUMP! What a bummer - they should have adult night. Here's a few:
