Go Mudcats!!

Bea got the game ball last night and was sooo excited! She scored TWO homeruns, and some other stuff..not really sure when it comes to baseball and all the RBI thing-a-ma-jigs...I don't even think I know what RBI stands for...Running, Base, Innings??? maybe. Point being..she LOVES baseball and she was so excited to get the game ball. Every game - a different player gets the ball - whoever really tries their best each week - the coaches hand it out. It's was Bea's night! Before Blake's game...he sat on the bench and ate Gobstoppers and drank Siera Mist - he was in heaven!

Christa & Greg's Wedding...

What a day! We had a bit of rain but that didn't stop us for a second - well, it didn't stop Christa and I always follow the leader! She's phenomenal to work with. And Greg...just a fantastic guy - really - they were made for each other. They had a beautiful ceremony at Bellarmine Chapel (Xavier) and followed it up at Royal Oak Country Club with a live band that sang 'brown-eyed girl' and since that's one of my fav's..you gotta love the band! Click HERE for a sneak peek of their day!

Uncle Marc and Melissa...

Going through their wedding images was such a blast! I want to personally thank Teri (my wonderful dancin' buddy/friend/cousin-by-marriage) for helping me with some of the Photo Booth shots! To Son...he was primary...I was HIS 2nd shooter! To Marc and Mo for having such a beautiful venue..to Gary & Ruth...thank you for my perfect husband. To Melissa's Aunt Sandy...for making a ribbon bouquet for Bea - she loved it! To Lindsey, David and Michael - you guys rocked the Photo Booth - thanks for the great shots! To my kids..for making it down the aisle without any mishaps - you both are so perfect and I love you so much. NOW for the show..click HERE for a few photos of Marc & Mo's wedding:

Nicole & Matt's Wedding...

A Daisy For You...

I just absolutely love this image. This is from Uncle Marc and Melissa's wedding. I haven't had a chance to go through my images yet..but this is one of Son's (photo credit goes out to him). My daughter (instead of rose petals) had a basket of daises and handed them out to guests when she walked down the aisle. I'm not sure who the guest is...but I think it's a super sweet picture - one of my fav's...

Nicole & Matt's Photo Booth...

From newborns to 80+ years-old - everyone stopped by Nicole & Matt's Photo Booth at their wedding reception. It was just too much fun! Nicole will get all her Photo Strips you see in the slideshow (plus MANY more I didn't put in the slideshow!) and she can print them and send them to her guests as part of her 'Thank You' cards or just a simple, fun gift for a loved one. Another Wild Time in the Photo Booth!

Along with face-painting, bubbles, pinatas and tattoos...I set up a Photo Booth at Bea's Kindergarten Party and got some fabulous shots of the kids. Forget posed, simple shots - these kids went wild! Some of the parents even jumped in a few shots with their children! Now remember..photo booth pictures are never perfect! There is always someone who's head is cut out of the shot or just their eyes...that's half the fun of being squished into a tiny booth! Click here for another fabulous round of the Photo Booth!

Erica & Daniel

I just fell in love with them! They were both so relaxed in front of the camera and we just had fun. They walked on logs, sat in dirt and laid in the grass..what more could I ask for! Their wedding is coming up this June and Erica has WRITTEN the song she and Daniel will dance to. Talk about personal - love it! Here's a few of my fav's:

Photo Booths!

Ohhhh My Land!!! We set up a PhotoBooth at Marc & Melissa's wedding and it was an absolute blast! Guests were lined up to get their picture taken and I think everyone had a great time! You remember the classic white background, the black and white photo strip...right? Well, it's back and super hip to do at weddings! What great memories Marc and Melissa will have to print, give as gifts or thank you notes and, of course, in their wedding album. Click HERE to view a quick sample of some of the photo's we took in our 'booth'.

YeeeHawww!

We get to go to Cagles Dairy Farm for a field trip. Blake and I are lucky enough to tag along to take some shots for Bea's wonderful teacher, Mrs. Nellis. My favorite part is the 'Run with the Bulls' segment. Let me explain..we are sitting (with no where to go) on the hayride/tractor mobile thing. The dog starts to 'herd' these BIG dairy cows toward the tractor. They come RUNNING (the dust is flying) down the hill toward us - exciting..yet frightening. They come right up to the tractor but you can't feed them or pet them yet they are inches from you...tell a six-year-old who is sitting in hay they can't feed the cows. Anyway - it was a good time and here is a little show for...ya'll... - yes, I said ya'll....click here.

my easter pics...

Minus the Bunny...

It's been crazy...

I haven't had much time to post any new pics..I went through some tonight (late)...I forgot all about this one and I just love it! Pictures with the Easter Bunny are like school pictures: They're just awful..but you HAVE to have them. There's no way around it - it's a classic! So every year - I get the kids with the Bunny. I don't dress them up...their usually in their sweats - sometimes..even lunch remnants on their shirts if I bother to take off their coats. I stand in line with the frilly dresses, the Easter hats, the fancy, plastic shoes that everyone buys. And their kids look good -don't get me wrong...the point is...I'm standing in line for the Bunny. I'm usually yelling at someone to stop hitting someone else. To stop running, to stop bumping the person in front of us...but like I said..it HAS to be done. This year was the best so far! The guy in the bunny costume gets hot...I would too. So they have a fan that sits by his feet to cool his 'fur' off. Blake got the bunny-knee by the fan..it was FABULOUS! His hair blew right up!

Moving...

This is probably my favorite moving picture. We had nothing left in our house but boxes..no kitchen table, no chairs. But Blake made himself a little resting spot and stopped for a Go-Gurt.

Last Day...

Bea's last day at St. Pius was bittersweet. Her teacher was fantastic. Pushed the kids just enough to challenge them. Taught them about caring for each other and having fun while learning. I read somewhere...'have faith in your child's education.' I like that phrase - it says it all. The class had a going-away party for her and everyone brought in a little gift - crayons, markers, scissors - it was sweet. They gave her hugs at the very end and even Stephen, who's a pretty quiet guy, gave Bea a BIG bear-hug. CLICK HERE to view her Last Day show...

Last but not least...

The studio comes down today. It's kind of a sad day. I've created alot of memories in this studio. I shot in it..until the very last minute. We went out with a bang though, - a great time with my favorite set of twins...Halle and Aidan. Click HERE for their very last webshow.

'In The Dark' Project

I really wanted to do something conceptual and I'm just awful at explaining things. I wanted the images to feel like winter: cold...lonely..waiting for Spring. I have an idea but to verbally explain it - it just comes out weird but I've got it perfectly in my head. Needless to say...Son and I venture out on Saturday to this absolutely fabulous location to make my project a reality. This has been in the works for some time but getting around to making it happen...yeah. So here is just a small piece of the series - way more to come!

The Troops!

Amy brought her entourage over for some pictures..and then some pizza..and some wine. We did pictures BEFORE we did wine. What a great family. They are so easy to photograph and up for any of my crazy ideas. Here's a few from our session together:

Rudi!

You'd be surprised how yummy a raw carrot is! I bought some, just for some color and of course, Easter is here! Well, Rudi LOVES raw carrots! We had so much fun! He's got my favorite...big brown eyes and outfits from Chasing Fireflies so we were meant to be together!

Here's a few from our session:

Lola and her sidekicks...

I have so much fun with the W's come to my studio. Lola has been coming to me for years now. I'm one of her biggest fans! :) She has a brand new baby brother and I'll tell you what...he's just adorable! Can't wait to see him in a few months when he is smiling and laughing.. crawling... walking even! It will be great pictures to see those two 'play' with each other.
Here are a few from their session:

Andrew!

Andrew was such a good baby and had such beautiful blue eyes and big, chunky cheeks. Just squeezable - every ounce of him! Here's a few from his session:

Buddies...

Today was absolutely perfect. Overcast, a bit warmer than usual - great day for a shoot. So Amy (my friend) & I took the dynamic duo (our first borns) out for some pics. Some people go out to lunch, some people have play-dates..I do pictures. It's just so sweet to see how our kids interact...not a care in the world! It's ALL fun ALL the time. I wanted to capture them today - the way they are right now...in this moment. The way they act when we are driving down the road and I can hear their silly conversations. Can you remember what it's like to be little? I remember..I'm reminded every day and it's such a blessing. Click HERE to view their 'movie'.
