Collage for Bridgette...

Twin Canvas

I liked this shot of the twins on a canvas too. I have a vision for this image though...something like a 10x20 or 10x30 - something long and skinny so your eye flows with the subjects horizontally. I think this would be good in an obscure place - down a hallway or up the stairwell. Not a centerpiece and not by itself -some sconces or something. I think it should blend. And not in a bright location where there is a lot of light somewhere low-key.

Laney my baby!

Alanna is my niece and I love her so very much. She's got a little round face like my brother and big brown eyes like her mother. She is, really she is...a WILD woman. I think I got maybe ONE picture of her actually sitting. Don't get me wrong..I'm all for action shots but this child...seriously..does NOT walk anywhere...and she WILL leave you behind to suck up her dust. She might come back for you..but it's only to DRAG you DOWN with her! I got a shot of her pulling my hand while I'm taking her picture. The girl has places to go and people to see. Oh, and her beautiful, pouty lips when she doesn't get her way! Here is a *glimpse* of Laney.

My favorite set of twins...

My girl, Mya!

Ed, Angela, Victoria and Julia...

When I first met Julia (I think it was last year)..she was clinging to her Daddy's leg in the studio. She was so shy..that lasted about 5 minutes. The M's came to have a good time...and we really did. There was no pressure to stay clean, no pressure to sit in one place - because who wants to do that anyway??? We really captured a great family laughing, being silly and I really felt like we 'saw' them. We had a good time..all we were missing was the lampshade. Kenny, Bridgette, Kraig, Kirby and Rudi

I really had to focus on being cool (because there were two teenagers) and being cute (I had Rudi)....so we really did alot of mixed poses/shots that incorporated everybody and still had the group shots blend well together. I got to photograph Rudi in the past but never the whole bunch! I had a great time and Rudi, as usual, was ready for action! Jennifer & Scott

Jennifer shows up all leggy and fabulous in this gorgeous, flowy gown. We really had a great time playing with this dress as it could move with ease in every position I put her in. She looked natural and comfortable and we got some beautiful shots. I made Scott do the 'ninja shot' which I totally stole from Daniel (Erica and Daniel). It was a fabulous day! Jen & Bernardo

What a beautiful wedding to be a part of. Jen & Bernardo are two of the sweetest people. We got some beautiful images and some of my favorites were inside Jen's apartment on the landing of her stairwell. The wallpaper was a damask, almost vintage, shimmery-chic and the lighting was a soft-blue and just perfect for her skintone. I love subtle texture! What an absolutely fantastic couple. Everything took place at the Cincinnati Club so we had downtown to use as our canvas. It couldn't have fit the two of them any better. 2 Weddings and 9 Portraits...

Where do I even begin? This weekend was absolutely fantastic in Cincinnati. I had the best group of people for both weddings and families. Ault Park was beautiful all weekend long and besides a few pigeons car-bombing my Mother-In-Laws SUV...The Cincinnati Club was fabulous. Get ready for some great 'movies' and some beautiful images...

Holiday Mini-Sessions!

Thanks to all my regulars' and some newbies! who booked a holiday mini-session this year! All the sessions have been booked. I'll see all of you this weekend! If you didn't get a session this year let me know if you would like to book a mini-session for next year in Cincinnati. I'm going to save a weekend next year in October for the same event!

My Kind of Girl!!

I mean c'mon. Let's get serious. How many of us would have LOVED to do this? We go and buy a new dress for some special occasion. It's got to be new because you can't wear the same outfit twice. It's uncomfortable.. annoying..but you know you have to look good. So here you are, having your picture taken. You don't care what everyone thinks, your an independent, confident woman. The world is at your fingertips! You have a great job (playing all day), a maid, cook, chauffer (mom and dad)...it's all about YOU! And it's never your fault! Who stuffed you into this dress anyway??? (mom and dad). So you know what? If anyone has a problem with it..you know who to talk to.

Olivia...AND WILLIAM!

Well, my focus was supposed to be on Olivia today..but her big brother..William really stole my heart! He was so much fun to photograph. We ran around like crazy! We teased the cat a little(should have had video for that!), jumped on mom and dad's bed (well, not me)..but we had a blast! Once Will and Dad took a break for some 'Elmo' time Olivia and I got our 'quiet' time..and it was just magical. Times like these make me remember how much I'm in love with my job. Camera Shy..

Bruce absolutely hates having his picture taken. It's too funny. I think he just doesn't like the camera....it can't be the lens because it's only the 50mm. Either way, it's fun taking his picture!

He can't move any further back in his basket....

Deer..

I took this picture from my window..shooting over to my neighbors' house. The deer was on her two back legs eating leaves out of the tree in their front yard. Just odd..thought I would snap a picture. Of course I had a wide-angle lens so I got a nice shot of all the trees but not a great close-up of the deer. I thought by the time I switched out a lens she would be gone. They run away fast..except when they are busy chasing my 6-pound chihuahua.

Yep! We are still swimming...

outside that is! It's so weird swimming outside in September!

Tulle Rules....

I love tulle. I really do. Who doesn't?? It's fun and flirty! The bigger and more tulle..the better. Alexander McQueen is one of my favorite designers. Love his stuff..it's tulle with attitude. And to my surprise J.Crew has a fabulous - really fabulous line of wedding dresses AND bridesmaid dresses! Unbelievably cute and sexy! Some of these dresses would be perfect for a beach wedding or outdoor venue. Or even a romp in the sand!

Holiday Mini-Sessions!

I still have a few spots open for my Holiday Mini-Sessions at Ault Park in October! I'll be in town shooting weddings that weekend but I'm booking sessions on Sunday before I leave town again. These mini-sessions are perfect for couples/families who want to get their Holiday Pictures and Cards in before the mad rush! Email me if you are interested in a 30 minute session.

Happy Fall...(almost!)

I put together some cute 5x7's for my daughters' class. They get 'real' fall pictures from school and I have NO desire to ever do school pictures but this was fun to do for the kids. I also have a Winter scene I'm hoping to use on them this year. I love the fact that they didn't get 'dressed' up for the pictures..what you see is what you get! Everyday wear and tear clothing! I did put my logo on the cards - it might be my shameless plug - but I put a lot of effort into my work - my logo goes on everything I give away. Here's a sample:

Hay!

What a morning! I headed to school this morning to take some class pictures for my daughters' class directory and thought how fun it would be to set up a Fall scene..with...hay. Not one of my more brilliant moments but it was cute in pictures. Hay EVERYWHERE! I kid you not...I found it in my jeans when I got home. You could tell where I had been when I walked down the hallway because of the hay trail..not to mention..where I parked!

1st Graders...

Aren't they just the sweetest!!! I set up the backdrop for the individual shots - it was way too small for the class picture but I didn't really mind. I like the whiteboard in the corner too! Wish we would have written something on it now. I like the informality of this image. Just kids being kids - even our wonderful teacher has a great silly face!

Mmmmm Cake!

Cake Divas did a fabulous cake - I mean really...really - cool for one of the wedding magazines I get. Their site doesn't do them justice. Anyway - if you are looking for some cake ideas -check them out!

Flowers with attitude...

Tic-Tock Couture Florals has some of the prettiest floral designs I have seen. Gorgeous stuff and so unique!! Some of their links are still 'under construction' but I can't wait to see some of their galleries for interior and set design. What fun!

Too CUTE Umbrellas...

Bella Umbrella...These are absolutely adorable! They market them as rentals (and they are gorgeous!! or bridesmaids gifts but what a great prop for my photography studio!!! Or to take with me to a wedding to use for a prop - sunny OR rainy day! Love them!
